World Environment Day Observed at LSCs
Commemorating World Environment Day and in line with the Environment and Social Standards (ESS) of the World Bank, a short awareness programme and tree plantation was conducted at Lighthouse School Complex (LSC) GHSS Kigwema, Kohima, on 5 June.
Kevileno Angami, Commissioner and Secretary, School Education & SCERT, delivered a short speech during the programme and also led the tree plantation drive. This was followed by tree planting by officials and students of the school.
In observance of World Environment Day and in compliance with the World Bank ESS, all Lighthouse School Complexes (LSCs) also carried out tree plantation drives in their respective campuses.
