Community Participation: GMS Lanutemjen in Tuensang District

Community Participation: Acting as the stimulus, the Performance Incentive Grants (PIG) is fostering a stronger sense of community participation and ownership at GMS Lanutemjen in Tuensang District.

With the PIG funding, the school’s interior and exterior, including windows and door, has received a fresh coat of paint. This transformation was made possible through the voluntary efforts of teachers, SMC members, and community members who provided free labour.

Further, to promote zero drop-outs, the SMC members engaged in home visitations and enrolment drives. As a driving force, the PIG fund has brought the community together to collaboratively enhance and uplift the school.
