IN GRATITUDE

The Nagaland Education Project – The Lighthouse (NECTAR) under the Department of School Education, is honoured to receive the ‘CIPS Innovation Award – 2024’ in the Education Sector for its Performance Incentive Grants (PIG).

The NECTAR project—approved by the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Education and aided by the World Bank—has been at the forefront of innovative interventions in public school education with the twin objectives of enhancing the governance of schools across the state, and improving teaching practices and learning environments in selected school complexes.

NECTAR is honoured to receive the recognition for its PIG programme and acknowledges all the stakeholders and individuals who were involved in it. NECTAR extends its appreciation and gratitude to the government school heads, teachers, staff, students, School Management Committees (SMC) and School Management and Development Committees (SMDC), Department Officials, District Administration, and the community for their active partnership, responsible leadership, and contributions.

We would also like to thank the Centre for Innovations in Public Systems, Hyderabad (an autonomous centre of the Administrative Staff College of India) for the recognition and award.
