Collaborative Efforts Against SRGBV
A one-day sensitization programme was organized by the Lighthouse School Complex,Tseminyu, in collaboration with the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU),Tseminyu. The event aimed to raise awareness among students and staff regarding School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV). Advocate Bartha Tep delivered an insightful session addressing the scope, impacts, and legal perspectives surrounding School-Related Gender-Based Violence.
Supervisor Kesinle Keppen from the CHL, presented on the role and operation of the Child Helpline, sensitizing participants to emergency intervention services. The school PT Teacher Pechesing Khing, encouraged the students to utilize the complaint box installed at the school premises,to report any incidents of bullying, harassment, discomfort, or safety concerns without fear of reprisal.
Through such collaborative initiatives, the school and the CHL and DCPU continue to build a secure ecosystem where every child can pursue education in environment of dignity, safety and respect.
