Story Writing Competition: Professional Learning Communities

The trained teachers of the Subject-based Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) have been actively implementing their lessons with improved practices in the form of student-centered and activity-based pedagogy in classrooms. This is making learning joyful and enabling the students to overcome challenges and discover their strengths.

As such, a story writing competition was conducted by NECTAR to provide an opportunity for these teachers to tell their stories and share the best practices for mutual inspiration. The entries were evaluated based on the rubric of adherence to the prescribed theme, originality, language and grammar, appropriate length, title, and photo. After a thorough assessment by a panel of judges, ‘Pebbles for Factors’ by Mr Watikokba Longkumer was adjudged as the 1st position winner of the PLC story writing competition.
