Fostering Safe and Inclusive Schools
To create greater awareness about School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV), first-level sensitisation sessions are being conducted across all Lighthouse School Complexes (LSCs) for students, teachers, and non-teaching staff of both hub and spoke schools. The sessions are being conducted by the respective LSC SRGBV Committees.
The sensitisation sessions cover key aspects of SRGBV, including reporting mechanisms, safe and unsafe touch, consent, Childline 1098, gender equality, and the rights and protection of children. The sessions also encourage students to speak up and seek support in cases of abuse, harassment, discrimination, or any violation of their rights, thereby fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
