As part of the ‘Exam Reforms’ component under the NECTAR Project, a three-day workshop on ‘Strengthening School-Based Assessments’ in collaboration with NBSE and assessment experts from Educational Initiatives (Ei) began on 18 March at ATI, Kohima.
The workshop includes government and private school teachers from Classes 5 to 12, covering Maths, Science, English, and Social Science subjects. It aims to introduce participants to inclusive school-based assessments, inclusive teaching-learning, and provide targeted feedback to students, among other objectives.
The Exam Reforms component under NECTAR aims to strengthen the State’s capacity to shift from rote learning to conceptual learning, enhance higher-order thinking skills, and implement competency-based assessments.
The workshop will conclude on 20 March.
