Making the most of the Performance Incentive Grants (PIG), GPS Jotsoma Upper in Kohima District transformed an empty and unused plot of land into a vibrant and colourful playground for the students to enjoy.
Over the course of two PIG instalments, the school purchased swings, see saw, slide and also paved the playground. The community contributed free labour as well as an excavator for the ground levelling.
