PIG Diaries: Selected among the first batch of the Performance Incentive Grants (PIG) programme and availing their 4th and last instalment, GHSS Shamator has made noteworthy improvements to its learning environment with the support of the community and teachers.

Proposing to renovate 2 classrooms and repair another with their last PIG instalment, the school put their money to judicious use with the help of their 2 Carpentry Instructors and 2 teachers who contributed free labour. This enabled the school to save money on labour and making charges.

The community is also actively supporting the school and is hands on in the development of the school. Notably, Yimkhiung Women Organisation of Shamator town donated flowers and pots for beautification of the school.
