Professional Learning Communities (PLC): GMS Okotso

“PLC trainings have really been a welcome intervention. A breath of fresh air. A game changer”, says Ajanthung Shitio S, Mentor of Middle Stage English PLC from GMS Okotso in Wokha District.

Instead of adhering to the traditional practice of having students bring handicrafts, firewood, brooms, etc. as part of their Like Skills subject, Ajanthung opted to teach practical life skills such as tying shoelaces, folding clothes, sewing buttons, and making tea.

Post the training and implementing what he learned, Ajangthung says the enthusiasm and learning among his students has improved and that his classrooms have come alive.
