NECTAR Project’s Phase-2 Workshop for Stakeholders
As part of Phase-2 of the ‘Exam Reforms’ component under the NECTAR Project, a three-day capacity-building workshop for stakeholders is underway for paper setters and teachers of Classes 8-12 on the topic ‘The Art & Science of Question Making’, in collaboration with NBSE.
This aligns with the recommendations of NEP 2020 for a shift in examination and assessment systems towards conceptual learning, competency-based assessments, and away from rote learning.
The workshop is being conducted by assessment experts from Educational Initiatives (Ei) for the following subjects: Math, Science (all science stream subjects under NBSE), Social Science (all arts stream subjects under NBSE), English, and Commerce (all commerce stream subjects under NBSE).
A total of 227 teachers from both government and private schools across the state are attending the workshop, which will conclude on 30th January.
