‘Strengthening Evaluation Practices’ under Exam Reforms

In an effort towards enabling the shift from rote learning to higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in education, the NECTAR Project is working with NBSE to strengthen evaluation practices under the Exam Reforms component. The Educational Initiatives (Ei) has been onboarded by the project to implement this programme.

In line with this, a two-day workshop on ‘Strengthening Evaluation Practices’ got underway on 15 October 2024. 147 examiners and head examiners of Classes 10 and 12 for four subjects from both government and private schools will be trained to reduce inter-rater variability and improve overall evaluation practices in the state.

The workshop is being held at the Directorate of School Education and at NBSE office, Kohima and will conclude on 16 October.
