SRGBV Sensitisation at GHSS Kigwema
A Sensitization Programme on School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV) was held on 9th September 2026 at GHSS Kigwema Kohima for students, teachers and non-teaching staff.
The programme was led by Apukheno Yano, with invocation by Atone Chukhutolu, Vice Principal, GHSS Kigwema. Sessions were taken by Sekho Dawhuo, DCPO Kohima, on the role of LSC-SRGBV; Kielie Nakhro, Member, CWC Kohima, on POCSO Act, privacy and confidentiality.Vimenu Richa, Centre Administrator, One Stop Centre on POSH Act, gender equality and non-discrimination and Rheituohunuo Whuorie, Project Coordinator, Child Helpline (1098), on safe reporting mechanisms and concept of safe/unsafe touch.
OC from Khuzama police station also highlighted cybercrime and online fraud, advising students to be careful and responsible while using the internet and social media.
Discussion hour was followed and the programme concluded with closing remarks by Rose Chishi, Principal, GHSS Kigwema, Altogether 227 participated in the program.
